Teen Leadership Weekend

High Ropes Teambuilding Course Confidence Course Multi-Task Dilemma Campfire Leadership Workshops

March 26-28 2010

Sharpen your leadership skills at Camp Hazen YMCA with other teens. Workshop and sessions will have you actively engaged and asking for more! In this two night, three day experience, you will develop your Leadership Intelligence. You'll hone your personal leadership style, build trust, raise your self-esteem, promote cultural awareness and diversity and learn conflict resolution skills. You'll participate in our teambuilding, high ropes, and confidence course and spend your evenings with other leaders.

The Program

Are you a leader in your school, congregation, or community? Would you like to be a better leader? Camp Hazen YMCA welcomes teens in grades 7, 8, and 9 to participate in an all-inclusive weekend to learn the secrets behind successful leaders. Each participant may have the opportunity to experience our teambuilding course, high ropes and confidence courses, leadership workshops, recreational activities, and a sense of fellowship among friends.

This weekend program is a great opportunity for teens to meet other teens and begin to build the foundation of skills that will mold them into successful leaders. Programs and activities will be organized and led by our qualified and highly energetic Hazen Staff.

Lodging and Dining

All program participants will be housed in our dormitory-style winterized cabin with other teens and will be supervised by Hazen Staff. Cabins are equipped with electricity, bathrooms and showers. Delicious and nutritious meals are served in Bunting Dining Hall. Vegetarian options and a salad bar are available at each meal.

2010 Teen Leadership Weekend Dates

Friday March 26th through Sunday March 28th, 2010

(Check-in between 5-6pm on Friday; Departure 2pm on Sunday)

2010 Teen Leadership Weekend Rates

Fee of $180 for a participant includes 2 nights lodging in Crow's Nest or Knowles Lodge, 6 delicious meals, and all program expenses for the weekend.

Program participants must be in grades 7-9.

Quality Staff

Our experienced staff are selected from the "cream of the crop" of our summer camp. They are chosen for their ability to relate to a variety of age groups, their enthusiasm and their spirit. Staff members and campers work directly with our YMCA Professional Staff to ensure a quality program and a mission driven experience.
