Ways to
Help
Every summer since 1920, Camp Hazen YMCA has been committed to
helping youth develop valuable life skills through camping
experiences that build healthy bodies, open minds and awakened
spirits. The experience the children have while at camp is
second to none. It is an environment where they feel safe,
secure and accepted. While at camp, children learn life skills
that will help them grow into caring, honest, responsible and
respectful adults.
Often, the children who most need our help building a bright
future aren’t able to afford the camp fees. Each summer, camp
provides funds for more that 200 deserving children to attend
camp. In addition, we realize that all children are at risk
today, and can benefit from a caring, supportive and nurturing
environment. Our goal is to keep camp affordable for all
children.
This is where you can help. Your gift to our Annual
Strong Kids Campaign
will allow us to meet the growing number of requests for
financial aid, and will help keep camp affordable for all!
Endowment and Planned Giving FROM GENERATION TO GENERATION -That the spirit of Camp
Hazen YMCA be enhanced and handed from generation to generation
for the good of tomorrow’s youth.
With over 85 years of service to youth, we are mindful of the
need to secure our future for the next 85 years and beyond. The
Camp Hazen YMCA Endowment and Planned Giving Program was
established to provide continuity, stability and preservation of
our most cherished values. Hazen’s endowment funds allow us to
pursue our goals with confidence that our Mission will be
experienced by future generations.

Volunteer
Opportunities
If volunteer opportunities interest you, Camp
Hazen has plenty to offer. Camp Hazen YMCA’s volunteer program
is looking for qualified individuals who are interested in
having a meaningful experience and are willing to give of their
time in the expanding programs at Hazen.
Volunteer
opportunities are varied and time commitment and responsibility
are carefully matched to your interest and abilities. You may
choose to spend a day, or a week-end with us, or your may be
interested in a regular weekly or monthly commitment, depending
on your volunteer role.

the many ways volunteers help Camp Hazen YMCA. As you can see
volunteer roles vary in the level of expertise and time
required. You can choose the volunteer job that best fits your

Facility and Grounds Support – gardening, trail work,
landscaping, painting, carpentry.
Program Support –
Program Assistance/Teaching in Team Building, Group Games,
Climbing. Training is provided!
Fund Raising and
Development – Assist in research and development of potential
foundation and corporate cultivation. Assist in developing and
implementing new fundraising opportunities and special events.
Office Support – Mailings, publications, archiving and
historical documentation
