Families often wonder whether a one‑week or two‑week session is the right fit, and the answer depends on what your camper—and your summer—needs are. One‑week sessions tend to attract many first‑time overnight campers, especially those in upper elementary, making them a welcoming, confidence‑building way to try camp or weave adventure into a busy schedule. Many new campers also choose to jump right into a two‑week session, which draws a strong mix of ages, the majority of which are in middle school and typically fills first, as seasoned campers sign up the moment they head home. These longer sessions offer a deeper, more transformative experience—especially for kids who take a little time to settle in and then flourish with a full second week of fun, growth, and community.

TRADITIONAL

Activity Structure:

3rd–5th Graders: Designed to be well‑rounded and exploratory. Campers sign up for a Bundle in each program area, similar to our Sampler Camp model, ensuring they try a wide variety of activities.

6th–10th Graders: Older campers can tailor their schedule based on interests and class availability. Each camper takes at least one—and up to three—classes in both Water Sports and Outdoor Pursuits. They may take zero to two classes in Creative Arts and Land Sports, depending on their preferences. Across the session, campers complete seven total skill classes, selected by ranking choices on their Activity Preference Form in CampInTouch before summer.

Activity Structure:

Campers take classes in all four program areas: Creative Arts, Land Sports, Outdoor Pursuits, and Water Sports.

Bundles System: Each program area offers several “Bundles,” each containing a curated mix of activities.

Example: Land Sports Bundle A might include Skateboarding, Archery, Basketball, Gaga, and Tennis.

This structure gives campers a broad sampling of everything camp has to offer, perfect for trying new things and discovering new interests.

TRADITIONAL

Quest Class:

One week of the session for one period a day, each cabin participates together in Quest, a creative, choose‑your‑own‑adventure style class. Activities can include anything campers dream up, plus opportunities to try the High Ropes Course, Zip Line, or Giant Swing. Quest strengthens cabin bonds and creates shared memories unique to the two‑week experience.
