Day Camp @ Camp Hazen YMCA

Day Camp at Hazen is a place where summer comes alive—full of outdoor adventure, creative exploration, and the kind of friendships that last long after the season ends. Each day blends structured activities with plenty of room for choice, giving campers the chance to swim, play sports, create art, explore the woods, and discover new skills in a safe, supportive environment. With caring staff, hot lunches, flexible care options, and a beautiful lakeside setting, our program is designed to make every day feel fun, meaningful, and memorable. Whether it’s a camper’s first summer or their fifth, Day Camp offers the perfect mix of independence, guidance, and pure summer joy.

7:30 - 8:45am
Before Care

 

 

 

 

Early drop‑off is available for an additional fee, giving families extra flexibility. Campers arriving before 8:00 a.m. can enjoy a warm breakfast to start their day.

Program Time

 

 

 

 

Campers dive into a mix of activities—swim class, sports, creative arts, and adventures in the woods—building skills, confidence, and friendships along the way.

The afternoon brings more camp fun, from Beach Party free swim to climbing, archery, and other classic camp activities that keep the energy high.

8:45-9:15am
Check In

 

 

 

Drop‑off is quick and convenient at our Gateway Pavilion with a smooth drive‑through system. Group leaders take attendance, and campers head straight into our morning all‑camp assembly to kick off the day together.

11:30-12:30pm
Lunch

 

 

No need to pack a lunch. We serve a hot, kid‑friendly meal each day, and of course we cater to 'picky eaters'!

 

Enjoyed with camp groups on our dining hall deck overlooking beautiful Cedar Lake.

3:30-6pm
Snack, Pick Up,
After Care

 

 

A snack is served at 3:30 p.m while the whole camp gathers for an end of day ceremony.

 

Pick‑up requires a photo ID for safety.

 

Optional after‑care is available for an additional fee.

Creative Arts

All the traditional camp arts and crafts including, jewelry making, candlemaking, and nature based crafts invite campers to express themselves and try something new. This is where imagination takes the lead and creativity comes to life.

Land Sports

From soccer and tennis to archery, Gaga, and classic camp games, our fields and courts are always buzzing with action. Campers build skills, confidence, and teamwork while having an absolute blast outdoors.

Outdoor Pursuits

From scaling the Climbing Wall  to outdoor cooking, archery, and games in the woods, campers discover the thrill of the outdoors. These programs build resilience, curiosity, and a love for exploration.

Water Sports

Whether paddling across the lake, jumping on the water matt, learning to swim, or trying paddleboarding, campers dive into adventure on the water. It’s all about confidence, safety, and pure summer fun
